Design Production Notes
These renderings are conceptual and intended to help visualize the design. Final design details may change as the project advances through construction.

Overall Corridor Description
This rendering illustrates the proposed improvements along Orange Avenue at the 2nd Street intersection. The design focuses on improving pedestrian safety, accessibility, and intersection clarity while maintaining existing traffic operations.
Key features shown include updated curb geometry, improved crosswalks, ADA-compliant ramps, and a raised traffic separator. The design supports a safer and more comfortable environment for people walking, biking, and driving through the corridor.
Intersection and Pedestrian Improvements
The rendering highlights new pedestrian crossings at all corners of the intersection, including clearly marked crosswalks, shorter crossing distances, and ADA-compliant curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces. Sidewalk connections are designed to match existing grades and improve accessibility for all users. Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons will be installed at the intersection to enhance pedestrian safety.
These improvements are intended to make crossing the intersection safer and more intuitive, particularly for people walking, using mobility devices, or pushing strollers.
