Bayfront Park Seawall Rehabilitation

This project at Bayfront Park will rehabilitate approximately 1,500 linear feet of existing seawall. This component will increase the resiliency of the seawall in a portion of the marina immediately adjacent to Bayfront Park. The new seawall cap elevation will be raised 1’ 10” which will exceed NOAA’s projected intermediate high water for 2060. The adjacent walking paths will be raised to meet the increased height along with healthy new landscaping. The project will also include an environmental component, mangrove panels, that will promote the growth of water filter organisms to improve the water quality in the bay.
